Duties and Responsibility

This is the entry and training grade for certificate holders. An officer at this level will assist senior officers in the provision of agricultural extension services. Specific duties and responsibilities will involve mobilizing, training and advising farmers on matters relating to agricultural extension services in a working unit

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Kenya certificate of secondary education (KCSE), mean grade C- or its equivalent, and
• Attended two (2) year certificate course in any of the following fields: agriculture, food technology, agriculture and home economics or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
