Procept is recruiting to fill the position of Application Support Specialist, who has Linux, Datawarehousing (ETL/java / python/ bash scripting), Oracle, and Storage system skills. The idea candidate must have knowledge of ITIL/Agile, Fintech Awareness, and at least 3-5 years Application support experience.
The Application Support Specialist will provide essential support to our partners’ business operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT services and systems.
Job Description
Provide technical support for business-critical applications, ensuring timely resolution of issues and incidents.
Utilize expertise in Linux, Datawarehousing, Oracle, and Storage systems to troubleshoot and resolve application-related problems.
Support ETL processes and data warehousing operations, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and availability.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize data workflows and performance.
Develop and maintain scripts using Java, Python, and Bash scripting to automate routine tasks and streamline processes.
Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Perform regular maintenance tasks on applications and databases, including patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
Ensure adherence to best practices and standards in application management and support.
Log, track, and prioritize support tickets and incidents, following established ITIL processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues and minimize service disruptions.
Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system configurations.
Generate reports on application performance, incident trends, and support metrics as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in application support, with expertise in Linux, Datawarehousing (ETL/Java/Python/Bash Scripting), Oracle, and Storage systems.
Strong understanding of ITIL/Agile methodologies and their application in support processes.
Knowledge in Fintech and understanding of financial technologies and applications.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
