Assistant Director - Investment - 2 Posts at Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK)

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• cumulative service period of ten (10) years three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Investment Officer CSG 8 or in a comparable position in the wider public service;
• a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Economics, Project Management, Business Managements, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, Commerce, Computer Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agri-Business Management, International Relations or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
• a membership to a relevant professional body (where applicable); and
• demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-

• developing, implementing and reviewing policies, legislations, regulations, strategies guideline, frameworks and procedures on investments and Business transformation;
• pitching investment opportunities to investors;
• coordinating investment in common-user facilities such as economic ones, industrial parks and aggregation centres;
• drafting investment and Business transformation reforms briefs on country's position;
• creating incentives to attract investors;
• developing a national green growth and development plan;
• developing concept notes and funding proposals;
• preparing briefs on the suitability of investments for gazettement;
• developing measures and strategies for transfer and adoption of environmentally sound technologies;
• developing and maintaining investment and Business transformation climate risk registers for mitigation;
• coordinating advocacy on investment promotion activities and analyzing the uptake of investment opportunities in incentivized zones; and
• developing, implementing and reviewing standards, methodologies and tools for measuring investment productivity.
