Energy Innovator – Decarbonisation (Industrial Plants)
With extensive experience in energy audits and efficiency projects in emerging markets, you bring robust procedures and evaluation tools to the table. Your deep understanding of thermal energy systems and energy efficiency measures will be critical in optimising the technical and commercial aspects of thermal project development and delivery across Africa.
Education Requirements
Honours degree in mechanical, thermodynamic, process, or electrical engineering is highly advantageous
Experience Requirements
Proven experience in designing energy optimisation and efficiency projects in emerging markets
In-depth understanding of the African thermal energy industry and energy efficiency technologies (heat pumps, chillers, waste heat recovery systems, heat exchangers)
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business development teams to create and implement innovative decarbonization solutions for clients
Develop technical solutions for projects, evaluate vendor proposals, and manage third-party consultants
Provide guidance on energy efficiency initiatives and streamline processes
Support the transition of projects to the engineering and construction team
Oversee the design and contractual framework, ensuring clarity among all parties involved in project execution
