Estimation Engineer at Master Power Systems Ltd

• The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for managing all tasks related to tendering within the ELV/ICT/AV field, including tender preparation, vendor management, and coordination with relevant teams. The role involves in-depth technical and practical knowledge in various ELV systems and will require a highly organized individual with experience in tendering processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tender Management:
• Lead all tender-related tasks from initial stages to final submission.
• Coordinate with suppliers by sending Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and tender specifications to obtain prices.
• Compare pricing from different suppliers and make cost-effective recommendations.
• Prepare tender compliance sheets, ensuring all specifications align with the client’s requirements.
• Collect and manage all mandatory documents required for the tender submission.
• Attend pre-bid site meetings and tender openings.
• Bind and manage tender documents, ensuring they are properly signed and stamped.
• Ensure proper arrangement of tender security bids and necessary legal documents.
• Technical Coordination and Specifications:
• Conduct technical specification comparisons between tender specifications and suppliers’ specifications.
• Perform site surveys to gather accurate data for tendering purposes.
• Liaise with the Electrical Division to ensure correct pricing and specification alignment.
• Explore and engage new vendors for value engineering and competitive pricing.
• Assist in preparing handover documents for awarded tenders.
• Correspond with clients and suppliers regarding tender-related matters.
• Manage documentation throughout the tendering process and ensure timely submission of all relevant documents.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
• A minimum of a Degree or Diploma in a relevant field (Engineering, Technology, etc.).

Experience:

• 5 to 10 years of experience in ELV, ICT, or AV systems.
• Strong knowledge in Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, ELV, Audio Visual, Intrusion Systems, Video Intercom, Network Switches, IPPABX, Routers, and Firewalls.
