Events Officer - 2 Posts at Uasin Gishu County Government

Requirements for appointment:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Events Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Registered Member of the relevant professional body and in good standing.
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Duties and responsibilities:-

• Plan, organize, and manage institutional events such as conferences, workshops, exhibitions, ceremonies, and corporate social responsibility activities
• Assist in the development of annual event calendars and work plans
• Coordinate logistics including venues, suppliers, equipment, catering, accommodation, and transport for events
• Liaise with stakeholders, partners, sponsors, service providers, and participants to ensure effective event delivery
• Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines
• Develop and disseminate publicity materials including invitations, programs, banners, and digital content
• Support protocol arrangements for dignitaries, guests, and VIPs
• Prepare post-event reports, document lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future events
• Maintain records, photographs, and videos of events for institutional archives
• Plan, monitor, and evaluate staff performance against set targets
