Heavy Plant Operators (UG12)- 8 Posts at SonySugar Limited

Reporting to the line Supervisors, the operators will be assigned to the machines and will be responsible for:

• Performing specific activities by using heavy duty machines and equipment;
• Inspecting the machine for suitability of safe operation;
• Checking machinery defects and report the same to immediate supervisor;
• Identify mechanical faults early and ensuring they are rectified in good time;
• Making necessary adjustments on equipment to attain the required work quality;
• Making necessary adjustment on the machine to ensure safe operation.

Job Specification/ Requirement

• KCSE or equivalent qualification.
• Driving license classes, Special type, Shovel, Grader and others as added advantage.
• First Aid certificate.
• Holder of defensive driving from reputable firm.
• Five (5) years driving experience in commercial environment.
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
