Job Purpose:

Handle capacity planning, evaluate the database server engine, and manage all aspects of a database including installation, configuration, design, and data migration.

Additionally, undertake performance monitoring, security, backups, troubleshooting, and data recovery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
• Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyse, design, code, test, implement computer programs; provide user support;
• Maintain support systems and training of users;
• Configuring of new information communication technology equipment;
• Participate diligently in various committees as shall be appointed or tasked from time to time;
• Develop and update application systems;
• Carry out system analysis design and software specifications in liaison with users;
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of information communication technology equipment and associated peripherals;
• Draw up hardware specification for information communication technology equipment;
• Verify, validate and certify information, communication and technology equipment;
• Implement the computer systems and provide user support, including training users;
• Perform technical, systems and user documentation;
• Repair and maintain information, communication and technology equipment and associated peripherals; and
• Receive, install and certify information, communication and technology equipment.
