IT Interns at Zetech University

Duties and responsibilities

• Support senior IT staff with installation, configuration and maintenance of computers and operating systems
• Assist in resolving basic problems such as printing, software access and network connectivity.
• Help set up and dismantle IT equipment for classes and practical sessions, ensuring labs are operational.
• Assist in re-imaging lab machines and deploying software updates under supervision.
• Maintain lab readiness through cable management, tidiness, and checks on peripheral equipment.
• Work with the Lab Technician to carry out inventory checks and update the asset register accurately.
• Use the helpdesk ticketing system, document issues, assist in preparing user guides, and participate in departmental meetings and training.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.

qualification and experience

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology from a recognised/accredited university, having graduated within the last year.
• Being registered for or having completed the Certified Human Resource Professional 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Hands-on individual, with personal drive and the ability to respond to issues efficiently
• Good IT skills
