Intern – Treasury Department at Bank of Africa Kenya Limited

Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the NEW foreign exchange portfolios for FX Clients to maximize returns.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Financial growth and Operational efficiencies:

• Generate / grow bank’s non-funded income.
• Manage the treasury relationship with the liaisons teams at the branches to increase in wallet share and revenue.
• Develop and execute a new portfolio as well as strategy for the portfolio.
• Identify, target and market to new customers with an aim of growing our portfolio in terms of volumes and profitability.
• Carry out joint client visits with the assigned officers.
• Manage sales in liaison with the treasury FX sales officers, corporate and retail teams by ensuring
• that adequate spreads are applied, and good relationships are maintained with customers.
• Marketing of treasury products in conjunction with the assigned officers and marketing teams e.g. advertisements, promotions and road shows.

Risk management:

• Adhering to set internal FX guidelines on assigned limits and amounts.

Key Performance Indicators

• Financial – growth of non-funded income with a monthly target of KES 250,000.00 in income.
• Proper risk management.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, economics or related field
• Certification in FX, sales and Marketing or any relevant field is an added advantage
• 1 year work experience
