Manager – Information, Communication & Technology at Geothermal Development Company

Duties and responsibilities will entail: -

• Managing the ICT services of the Corporation
• Formulating and implementing ICT policies, strategies and procedures
• Ensuring adoption and adherence to GoK ICT standards
• Recommending to the Company emerging ICT solutions and best practices to enhance service delivery
• Designing and implementing information systems, infrastructure, and projects
• Establishing and implementing ICT data protection systems
• Coordinating the monitoring and evaluation of ICT projects, programs, and policies
• Developing work plans and budgets for the Department for approval
• Overseeing performance management in the department
• Analysis of the requirement and elaboration of internal policies and procedures on the use of ICT
• Provide overall administrative support to underpin the GDC Vision

Person Specifications

 For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• A minimum of twelve (12) years’ work experience four (4) of which must be in a managerial role
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks (cumulative)
• Relevant professional certification in ICT Field including but not limited to Networks, Infrastructure, System Administration, Systems Development, Support and Maintenance (e.g., CCNP/CCNA or MCIP/MCSE or CISM/CISA or PMP)
• Membership of any relevant professional body
• Proficiency in Computer applications
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya
