The Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of trucks. He will ensure there is effective and efficient serviceable condition for the vehicles that will be cost-effective to the Company.
KEY TASKS:
Shall ensure that every job allocated has been inspected after completion and signed off by the foreman.
Shall ensure there is no repeat of Job.
Shall ensure that the assigned task is completed within the allocated time.
Shall ensure that all breakdown and spare returned upon completion and report written.
Shall ensure there is no misuse of spare parts due to mechanic negligence.
Should report all incidents/ Accidents to EHS/HR officers.
Shall ensure task for a day are completed and no carry forwards.
Shall ensure full compliance with safe operating procedures.
Shall be donned in appropriate PPE’s at all times while at work.
Perform any other task that shall be assigned by Management.
Will be on call for 24hrs in case of emergency.
Attend all EHS training & ensure compliance to the training.
Safety Awareness:
Responsible for reporting all incidents/accidents noted within and outside the Organization.
Responsibility of being a safety ambassador to ensure we all work safely and always be on the lookout for any unsafe acts or behavior.
