Purpose of the Job

• To operate the vehicle assigned and ensure it’s in sound working condition.

The Job:

Reporting to the Transport Officer, the driver will be assigned to the pool and will be responsible for:

• Driving the company vehicles as assigned from time to time;
• Keeping the vehicle in good working condition;
• Attaining specified targets in terms of timely deliveries;
• Keeping the vehicle clean;
• Using vehicle only for specified jobs;
• Identifying mechanical faults early and ensure they are rectified in good time;
• Should be ready to work for long hours from time to time;
• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Specification/ Requirement

• KCSE or Equivalent qualification.
• Driving license with class A, B, C.E.,
• Five (5) years’ work experience.
• Should be conversant with major routes.
• Should have basic mechanical knowledge of fault finding in vehicle.
• Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• Should be a person of good integrity and always have a presentable outlook.
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
