This is a full-time on-site role for a Paediatric Sub-Specialist (gastroenterology, nephrology, neurodevelopment, respiratory, neurology, speech therapy, paediatric surgery, & radiology) at Gertrude's Children's Hospital located in Nairobi County, Kenya.
Responsibilities
The Paediatric Sub-Specialist will be responsible for providing specialised care to infants, children, and young adults with chronic conditions, inpatient and outpatient services, and complex medical and surgical needs. Duties include but are not limited to: diagnosis and treatment plans; patient education and counselling; performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; and rounding on patients.
Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. with board certification in relevant paediatric sub-specialty
Current and unrestricted medical licensure in Kenya, or the ability to obtain before the start date
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in paediatric sub-specialty
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work independently and make decisions when necessary
Strong computer skills with experience in electronic medical records systems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centred approach to care
Self-motivated and committed to ongoing professional development
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
