    Principal Risk Management Officer

    Job Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing risk management Performance contract, work plan and budget;
    • Preparing risk mitigation plan;
    • Carrying out quarterly routine awareness programs to manage risk;
    • Supervising, developing and appraising staff working under him/her.
    • Guiding departments on implementation of risk management framework;
    • Conducting Risk Management training to staff;
    • Ensuring appropriate management of risk to the Authority, employees, customers, reputation, assets and interests of stakeholders;
    • Responding to regular risk questions and concerns within the Authority.
    • Monitoring implementation of risk management framework.
    • Continuously review NEMA risk management policies in line with international best practice
    • Describing and estimating the cost of risks affecting the Authority;
    • Conducting risk assessment;

    Academic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields; Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, Organizational Development or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Master’s Degree in any of the following fields; Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, Organizational Development or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
    • Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks

    Experience Required

    • Minimum 5 year(s) as a Middle-Level Manager in with relevant work experience
    • Minimum 3 year(s) as a Senior-Level Manager in with supervisory experience

    General Qualifications

    • Training in Risk management;
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
    • Member of a relevant professional body;
