    Regional Business Line Manager Surface Drilling - Ghana

    About The Job

    Your Mission:

    • The primary task will be to maximize market share, maintain consolidated profitability and thereby strengthen Epiroc’s market position in the West African Region.
    • You will have a direct operational responsibility for Surface drilling product portfolio within the assigned territory and be responsible for Profit and Loss as well as Balance Sheet.
    • To contribute to further development of Surface drilling division within Epiroc West African Region, to remain the market leader for Surface and Exploration drilling equipment in the markets of West Africa.
    • To attain and maintain this position you should develop Surface drilling in line with future business opportunities, market trends and outlined divisional strategies. You should also build and sustain a professional, dedicated, and effective organization that can meet present and future customer expectations. 
    • You will drive the business with focus on growth and profitability, building new businesses and creating new solutions together with the Regional Sales team. You will act as a facilitator as well as challenger to marketing and sales teams involved.

    This key position will be a part of the Management Team and will report to Regional General Manager. 
    Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

    • Map the market in West African Region and determine Epiroc’s standing in the surface mining equipment segment during the last 3 years.
    • Prepare a fresh Territory Management Plan for Surface drilling in West Africa. Including channel management strategy for the region together with other RBLM’s and Regional Sales Manager.
    • Identify Key Customers/Key Prospects/Competitor Strongholds in all major countries and define a Winning Strategy for each of them.
    • Identify Mining Consultants in the WA Region and make a short-medium-long term Plan on how we will work towards getting each of them on board with Epiroc Technology/Products/Solutions   
    • Plan objectives and strategies to achieve the required targets (short-medium-long term) through the Marketing and Sales Team. 
    • To manage, motivate and develop the Surface drilling team and observe the company policy of equal opportunities in employment equity.
    • Increase customer satisfaction by putting actions in place for improvement needs as revealed in Customer surveys (and/or via other channels)
    • Promote a safe and healthy working environment in your domain. 
    • As a Senior Management Team member, you need to actively contribute to developing Epiroc West African Region organization to be able to attract, develop and retain the right people. 
    • Interact with the other divisions within Epiroc West Africa especially Parts and Service, Rock Drilling Tools and Regional Sales Manager to support the development of synergies and thereby consolidated result/ performance of Epiroc. 
    • Work seamlessly with Epiroc Global Strategic Customers to deliver lasting results in Surface drilling domain.

    Your Profile:

    • For this position, you preferably have a university degree in one of relevant fields such as Engineering, Mining, Business, or similar competence developed through working experience.
    • You have 5+ years of experience working in a similar role preferably within the industry.
    • Proficient level skills in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, and fluent communication skills English, both verbal and written, are required. Knowledge of French will be advantageous.
    • You have great interpersonal and communication skills, as well a good understanding for marketing, customer need and its competitive landscape and dynamics.
    • On the personal side you are strongly committed to results, structured and self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and manage your time and schedule. You are result oriented and creative even under pressure. 

    Location and Travel:

    • This position is located either in Bamako, Ouagadougou, Accra or Abidjan. Travel is required and may occur during some extended periods as this role will cover the West Africa Region.
