Retail Accountant (Fuel Service Station) at a Reputable Company

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accurate financial records for retail operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Review, verify and process invoices related to fuel sales, inventory purchases, and supplier transactions.
• Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly bank transactions to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
• Monitor and reconcile fuel sales, stock movements, and retail transactions to prevent losses.
• Track and analyze operational expenses to optimize cost efficiency.
• Perform monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with industry regulations.
• Manage customer and supplier accounts, follow up on outstanding payments, and ensure timely collections.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining transparent financial documentation.
• Provide financial insights and reports to management for strategic decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to financial and regulatory policies specific to the petroleum industry.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting and or any other related field.
• CPA (K) or ACCA certification
• At least 2 years' experience in an Accounting/ Finance role preferably in the petroleum industry.
• Proficiency in ERP Systems (preferably Odoo).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Financial Analysis/ Reporting & Reconciliations.
• Data analysis.
