    Sales & Marketing Officer

    We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Officer to drive business growth and foster positive change in the rural communities we serve. Based at our Homa Bay Technical Centre, this role involves leading marketing campaigns, engaging with stakeholders, and executing sales initiatives across our hubs in Homa Bay, Siaya, Kisumu, and Migori counties.

    Your contribution:

    Marketing Coordination:

    • Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies for WeTu's products and services, including fishing lanterns, water solutions, cooling systems, e-mobility, and e-waste management.
    • Organize community events to enhance brand visibility and market penetration. Collaborate with internal teams to refine marketing approaches and pilot new
    • initiatives.
    • Monitor market trends and gather customer feedback to adapt strategies accordingly. Ensure marketing campaigns align with business objectives and community impact goals.

    Brand Strengthening and Support:

    • Cultivate relationships with local stakeholders and organize events to boost brand visibility.
    • Support hubs with targeted sales initiatives and drive localized marketing activities.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities to strengthen the WeTu brand.
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective implementation of strategies.

    Sales and Customer Relationship Management:

    • Ensure positive customer interactions and satisfaction.
    • Provide product information, manage sales plans, and generate leads. Prepare detailed reports to analyze and improve performance.

    Driving Sales Targets:

    • Work collaboratively with teams to set and communicate clear sales targets for our hubs.
    • Manage client records efficiently and actively pursue new client prospects.
    • Continuously monitor and assess sales performance to ensure alignment with overall targets.
    • Evaluate competitors' strengths and leverage the superior attributes of our products to position them as the preferred choice.
    • Lead daily sales reporting and communicate progress to the management team.
    • Feedback and Communication Loop:
    • Serve as the conduit for feedback from the community and customers.
    • Regularly update the leadership team on industry trends, advocacy outcomes, and areas for potential growth.
    • Commit to continuous improvement, embodying an adaptive and forward-thinking approach.

    Who are we looking for?

    • Has over 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on driving innovation.
    • Holds a Higher Business Diploma in sales and marketing; a degree is a plus. H
    • as successfully executed sales and marketing campaigns in rural areas, effectively reaching new audiences.
    • Is innovative, creative, and acts with integrity.
    • Is strongly committed to positively impacting rural communities.
