Security Guards (UG5) - 35 Posts at SonySugar Limited

The Job
Reporting to the Security Operations Supervisor, the Guard will be responsible for:-

• Ensuring maximum protection and safety of all Company movable assets and employees under his charge against theft, vandalism, damage or injury;
• Ensuring that all Company assets leave Company premises with valid gate passes;
• Ensuring that he / she properly takes /hands over and record items under his charge;
• Ensuring that visitors to the Company offices and residential estates are recorded at Security office and duly issued with visitors’ passes before entry;
• Ensuring that all tractors /trailers, Lorries, tankers are properly in /out at product Weighbridge and recorded without fraud;
• To detect and report any offence against the Company rules and regulations;
• Ensuring that all the security work posts are tidy;
• Inspect all security physical structures like fences, lightings doors, windows and gates and locks and promptly report faults to Security Report Desk;
• Ensuring that incidences are recorded in the security occurrence book;
• Maintaining high standards of discipline through prompt obedience to lawful orders /instructions personal turnout and interpersonal relationship;
• Attending all parades and instruction classes as directed by his superiors;

Person Specifications

• KCSE or equivalent
• Ex- National Youth Servicemen desirable with a clean certificate of Service, will be an added advantage.
• High sense of self-discipline and integrity.
• Energetic and ability to work long hours.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to make prompt and appropriate decisions
• Displays initiative and team spirit.
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
