Security Intern at Management University Of Africa

JOB PURPOSE

• The Security Intern will assist the Campus Security Department in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. He/ she will provide hands-on experience in campus safety operations, emergency response procedures, surveillance monitoring, and administrative support related to security management.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in monitoring and analysing security alerts and incidents.
• Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
• Participate in security awareness and training initiatives.
• Conduct research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
• Assist with access control management and identity verification processes.
• Support the security team in incident response and investigations.
• Collaborate with ICT and compliance teams to ensure adherence to security best practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in ICT.
• Relevant experience in physical security or a program related to criminology or security.
• Basic understanding of information security principles, networks, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, or similar is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
