Senior Internal Auditor - 4 Posts at The Social Health Authority (SHA)

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

Person Specifications: For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Cumulative service period of six (6) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which must be in the grade of Internal Auditor I or a comparable position.
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (Accounting/Finance option), Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Kenya Part III or Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) Part IV from a recognized institution.
• Be a registered member of a relevant professional body and in good standing.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

• Examining all books of accounts of the Authority in accordance with the Laws, rules, and regulations.
• Carrying out audit checks to verify payments.
• Preparing detailed audit observations; and verifying statement of accounts.
• Validating the accuracy of payments and purchases.
• Consolidating primary audit reports/queries on the Authority’s financial statements.
• Undertaking audit inspections at the Authority, among others.
