Serving as the focal person for the GIZ project for intellectual agenda setting, overall strategic direction of the assignment
Supervision of the experts and quality assurance
Personnel management, specifying the need for short-term assignments within the available budget, as well as planning and steering assignments and supporting the experts
Ensuring results monitoring and regular reporting is conducted in accordance with deadlines and in alignment with the logframe indicators in relationship to the results
Providing general expert advisory services on women’s and girls’ rights, access to resources and representation in decision-making processes
Qualifications required
Education/training: PhD or its equivalent in Political Science, Social Sciences, Human Rights, Gender Studies, International Law or other related field
Language: 1Knowledge of English, C1-level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Knowledge of an additional AU working language: French or Arabic or Portuguese, C1-level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Professional experience required
7 years of professional experience in working on projects on gender equality, women rights and/or women’s empowerment
5 years of professional experience in support of an intergovernmental body or agency
10 years of professional experience in Africa
10 years of experience in development cooperation projects
