Duties and Responsibilities

• Collecting, collating and analyzing data on Youth polytechnic enrolment to inform Training projection in Youth polytechnics
• Coordinating trainee industrial attachment
• Keeping inventory of staff skills and skills gaps.
• Curriculum support for Youth polytechnics
• Report writing on curriculum needs, materials, tools, equipment and assets for Youth polytechnics and oversee the distribution, usage and storage.
• Liaising with polytechnics to ensure appropriate training, Examination, Assessment and Certification of Trainees.
• Participating in co-curricular and all Education programs in Youth polytechnic
• Implementing staff appraisal
• Ensuring quality service delivery in all Youth Polytechnics
• Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements for Appointments
For appointment to this grade one must:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen;
• A Bachelors degree in any of the following: Education or Technology Education from a recognized institution.

OR

• Bachelors degree in Science/Arts with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution.
• Possess instructor course certificate where applicable
• Registered by responsible bodies for Teachers or instructors where applicable.
• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
