    Manager, Server and Storage

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    • Infrastructure
    • 20% Management of the physical and virtual Infrastructure, VMware, Hyper-V, running multiple OS platforms
    • Server hardware support and maintenance in collaboration with selected partners and vendors
    • Implementation of High Availability setups as well DR for bank systems
    • Manage projects related to enterprise infrastructure
    • Management of enterprise applications that relate to the daily operations of the bank.
    • Serve as an escalation point and/or backup for end-user issues
    • Management of documentation – SOPs, Inventory and architecture diagrams
    • Storage, Backup and Recovery Infrastructure
    • 20% Implement the Storage, Backup and Recovery strategy in line with the Business Strategy.
    • Operationalize plans, designs, and implements Storage, Backup, and Recovery projects in accordance with Bank's requirements.
    • Support Storage, Backup, and Recovery architectural framework that is applicable throughout the organization.
    • Evaluation and Test new Storage, Backup, and Recovery technology to support new products and services.
    • Collaborate with personnel and contractors assigned to the department regarding maintenance, support, and
    • upgrades performed on the Bank's infrastructure.
    • Create strong relationships at the regional/global level within the IT community to ensure maximum leverage of resources/solutions to support local requirements.
    • Monitor Capacity and Performance of the group-wide server and storage infrastructure to ensure optimum efficiency.
    • Plan for capacity, performance, and service availability of all servers and storage in line with business needs. Work with application/project teams and 3rd party partners to plan, design, and implement new infrastructure, to meet the existing and growing needs of the business.

    • Bachelor of Computer Science degree or any other IT related field
    • Professional:

    Head, IT Service Management

    • The Head, IT Service Management is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective delivery of IT services to the NCBA Group (Kenya and all subsidiaries). This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team of IT professionals. The role holder will collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that IT services align with business needs and objectives.
    • The position requires a strong focus on service quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Using ITIL as the selected service governance framework, the role holder shall take the lead and work with the Head, IT Operations and other IT functional heads to draw from NCBA business strategy and define the service management strategy, service management design, service operations, service transition processes and continues improvement programmes required to ensure that IT services are fit for purpose.
    • The role applies group Service desk, monitoring, Asset Management, incident and problem management processes to provide the agreed levels of service, considering the changes in both supply and demand and seeking to proactively and continuously improve services to the bank’s internal and external customers.

    Academic:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, a
    • Master’s degree in Technology or Business-related course is an added advantage.

    Professional:

    • ITIL Foundation a must.
    • ITIL service practitioner would be an added advantage.
    • Experience implementing service delivery best practice frameworks e.g. ITIL, COBIT is

    Ideal Job Specifications

    • Good understanding of financial services and how IT contributes to the success of financial institutions.
    • Sound knowledge of Information technology and related supporting architectures.
    • Experience in leading and managing high performing team.

    Desired work experience:

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience with 6 years in an IT Service Management role within a large highly digitized organization managing mission critical systems.

    Senior Relationship Manager

    Job Purpose Statement

    • The role holder will manage a portfolio of large corporate customers; serve as their primary point of contact and financial advisor as well as prospect for and acquire new corporate customers to grow the Bank’s revenue and share of wallet for the assigned industry in line with the Bank’s strategy. Customer acquisition, satisfaction, growth, retention, cross selling and prevention of business loss are critical to succeed in this role.
    • This role will be responsible for preparation of credit applications, annual reviews and all customer related credit requests for approval.
    • Apply experience in corporate relationship management to develop, implement and update account plans for the existing portfolio within the assigned industry target market. Recommend, structure and sell solutions that address the customers’ needs, with the support from the solution/product teams in order to meet assigned goals and targets. Customer engagements and activities to be documented through call reports.
    • Proactively engage with internal support teams to ensure customer fulfilment while ensuring strict adherence with all policy requirements including proper documentation, routine portfolio monitoring, controls and exemptions management (compliance with credit, AML/KYC requirements). When assigned, serve in acting capacity in the absence of the Sector Head and actively coach Assistant Relationship Managers in aid of their achievement of performance targets. Relevant experience in the specific sector will be an added advantage

    Academic:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized accredited university.
    • Master’s degree in strategic management or business administration, or other similar relevant

    Professional experience:

    • At least 11 years’ experience in Corporate Banking, 3 of which should have been in management capacity in a similar sized organisation.

    Desired work experience:

    • Proven track record of consistently achieving a corporate department’s financial growth, with a market reputation of being a trusted advisor on matters pertaining to banking.
    • Significant experience in Corporate Banking. Experience in products, bank operations and customer experience is highly desirable.
    • In-depth knowledge of the local banking industry, banking products, banking services and banking regulations. Sound working knowledge and understanding of general Corporate Banking regulations and practices.
