    Finance & Business Advisory Team Leader

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • Managing client assignments as well as managing the team on a daily basis to ensure business results for the client as well as that of the firm are achieved.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Managing client assignments - determining resource requirements, monitoring progress against budget and timeframe, reviewing work completed by junior team members and resolving all project issues prior to partner/director review.
    • Managing the team on a daily basis.
    • Managing a portfolio of clients including client take-on, agreeing scope, fee negotiations, control of billings and cash collections.
    • Acting as first point of contact within the firm for the client together with the partner - anticipating and responding quickly to client needs, keeping them informed of progress.
    • Ensure that the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to.
    • Recruiting, managing and developing team members.
    • Requesting feedback from clients and acting promptly to improve client service.
    • Escalating potential overruns.
    • Contributing to business development opportunities.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
    • Ensuring all client deliverables including monthly management accounts, filing returns to the relevant returns, monthly bank reconciliations are done accurately and timely as per agreed client timeliness.
    • Provides expert advice that will add value to the business and gain advantage.
    • Gathers and understands financial and non-financial information to develop complete knowledge of the client business and the environment in which it operates.

    Finance & Business Advisory Internship

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Maintaining and preparing books of account on Xero/QuickBooks/Sage or other accounting software and updating approved transactions daily.
    • Providing monthly financial management accounts.
    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies including NSSF, NHIF, PAYE and VAT.
    • Management of petty cash.
    • Maintaining filling systems for accounting documents and vouchers.
    • Management of payments and procurement process as per the finance manual.
    • Ensuring monthly bank reconciliations are prepared and approved by the 10th of the following month.
    • Billing, receipting and updating client accounts.
    • Management of asset registers.
    • Effective and efficient management of books of account.
    • Review expenditures to ensure accuracy, validity and completeness of supporting documents
    • Preparing all ledgers and journals and provide support during internal and external audits.
