    Debt Collectors - (5 Posts)

    About the Role

    We are seeking a proactive, professional, and results-driven Debt Collector to join our Collections Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for contacting clients with outstanding balances, negotiating payment arrangements, and ensuring timely recovery of overdue accounts. This role demands excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a high level of professionalism when handling sensitive customer interactions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Debt Collection: Reach out to debtors through calls, emails, and written communication to request repayment in a courteous and empathetic manner.
    • Account Management: Maintain accurate and updated records of all collection interactions, payments, commitments, and disputes.
    • Negotiation & Payment Plans: Negotiate repayment terms and develop flexible, manageable payment plans that align with company policies.
    • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to outstanding balances.
    • Compliance: Ensure all collection activities adhere to Kenyan laws and regulations, including fair debt collection practices.
    • Monitoring & Reporting: Track collection progress, prepare regular reports, and work with the Collections Manager to meet set targets.
    • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, maintaining professionalism even when handling challenging situations.
    • Collaboration: Work with Finance and Legal teams when dealing with complex accounts or cases that require legal action.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)
    • Proven experience in debt collection or credit control
    • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • High level of integrity and professionalism
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
    • Proficiency in MS Office and collections software

    Finance Manager

    Yellow Pages Kenya is a Yellow Pages book publisher and digital agency with a presence in Angola, Kenya, Cape Verde, Tanzania, Sao Tome e Principe, and Mozambique. As they continue their expansion, they are seeking a Finance Manager to strengthen finance operations and support ambitious growth plans.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee and manage group accounting and financial reporting across Kenya, Cape Verde, and Mozambique
    • Supervise a team of 4 finance professionals located in each country of operation
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and serve as the primary liaison with Revenue Authorities in each country
    • Manage audit processes and coordinate with internal and external auditors
    • Oversee payroll accounting, statutory payments, and financial controls
    • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting
    • Prepare timely and accurate management reports for the COO and leadership team
    • Utilize and optimize ERP/accounting systems (experience with Primavera BSS or similar is a plus)

    Qualifications & Experience

    • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is mandatory
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
    • 3- 4 years’ experience in a finance management role, ideally with exposure to group accounting and multinational operations
    • Experience in the HR, outsourcing, or agency sector is a strong plus
    • Proven ability to manage remote teams and work across cultures
    • Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written)
    • Strong knowledge of Kenyan statutory requirements; experience with other African markets is an advantage
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
