The Opportunity 

 The role of Gender and Inclusion Network Coordinator is to facilitate and support the Gender and Inclusion Team and Network by; 

• Leveraging the technical expertise of the network to meet demand for temporary gender and inclusion technical support across the organisation 
• Communicating effectively within and about the network, its initiatives and results within Plan and with other external parties including partner organisations. 
• Enabling the effective use of online platforms for the purpose of knowledge management, learning, sharing, information and membership management of the network 
• Supporting the Gender & Inclusion Team and Network and their activities through the provision of reports and information and ensuring projects and people are connected and working collaboratively. 
• Coordinating the Gender & Inclusion Group (GIG) and its activities 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and Experience:

• Education at degree level or equivalent vocational study in fields such as gender studies or social studies or other relevant courses.
• Experience in managing technical networks and remote development support
• Proven experience working on children’s rights and gender equality and inclusion within an NGO, UN agency, government department or other relevant institutions, preferable direct experiences from working in countries where Plan implements programs
• Good understanding of rights-based development as well as gender equality and inclusion.
• Affinity with inclusion, intersectionality, feminist theory and methodologies and gender norm change.
• The following competencies are required for this position: result orientation, networking, learning ability, planning and organizing and communicating.
• Knowledge and Experience in administering and working across remote networks and teams
• Knowledge and experience using platforms for online collaboration such as MS Teams, Workplace, SharePoint, Zoom and Menti.

Skills:

• Excellent planning and administration skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong writing and editing skills, particularly for the web
• Able to work in an international environment managing different time zones and in cross-cultural contexts
• Able to network and build working relationships from afar
• Able to consult, gather and integrate information and feedback into concise products, such as reports and communications material

The Opportunity

Plan International started its Cash and Vouchers Assistance (CVA) programming in 2011, which has grown significantly since then in terms of portfolio and geographical coverage. As of June 2022, Plan International has implemented CVA in more than 50 Country Offices across the federation with more than 156 million Euros as a cumulative portfolio.

As a Deployable Cash & Vouchers Assistance (CVA) Specialist you will deploy to country offices 75% of the year to provide technical leadership at the Country Office level primarily on the CVA feasibility analysis, design and implementation of CVA initiatives, monitoring, capacity building, proposal development support as well as representing the organization at Cash Working Group and relevant clusters. You will also support reporting and documentation process and policy creation about CVA at Plan International

The Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in design, implementation and evaluation of in-kind food through cash/voucher and market-based programming.
• Demonstrable experience working in a broad range of humanitarian crises in several different contexts.
• Knowledge of international humanitarian standards and codes of conduct.
• Demonstrable understanding of Social Safety Nets, Livelihoods and associated methodologies.
• Excellent proven cash programming experience covering a range of modalities and approaches.
• Demonstrable representational and coordination skills.
• Excellent project design, participatory monitoring and evaluation skills.
• Good working knowledge of key humanitarian donors, for example, WFP, USAID, DFAT, GAC, FCDO, and DGECHO amongst others.
• Knowledge of major humanitarian, recovery and development challenges and issues,
• Strong analytical skills.

The Opportunity

The Deployable Communications Specialist is expected to work as an integral part of the country office. They are deployed to lead all communications for the response and support Plan International to communicate effectively with key stakeholders including the media, supporters and donors. The post holder will develop public messaging and create high-quality comms materials for use in Plan International’s global channels and across our network of National Organisations.  

The Requirements

• Substantial experience working in journalism, media relations or PR at an international level.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills in English with the ability to quickly translate complex information into strong messages and compelling content.
• Track record of writing news articles, features, picture stories, op-eds and press releases and developing vlogs and visual content.
• Multimedia skills, including photography and filming.
• Proven success at pitching stories to the media and working with journalists.
• Strong understanding of international humanitarian and development issues and rights-based work.
• Practical experience working in complex emergency settings.
• Practical experience with and ability to organise media visits, set up interviews and brief spokespeople.
• Track record of handling complex, sensitive, and fast-moving situations and working in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines.
• Good understanding of social media and digital channels.
• Keeps up to date with key humanitarian and international development issues and trends and can spot new opportunities as they arise.
• Strong organisational skills to deal with a complex work environment.

The Opportunity

The deployable Business Development Manager (BDM) is a senior surge capacity resource to be deployed to countries to support emergency response activities and to develop a funding strategy in line with the Emergency Response Plan. The role coordinates all proposal development. The deployable BDM will work with the Business Development team in-country to write proposals that speak to the overall strengths and capabilities of the country response while coordinating and incorporating the inputs from technical advisors, programme units, MERL, finance, HR, Supply Chain Management, partnerships, and security.

The deployable BDM is expected to stay closely informed and updated on current donor strategies and interests in the humanitarian space that are relevant to Plan International. The deployable BDM will liaise closely with the Global Humanitarian Team department and Programme Delivery and Resources (PDR) department, and with the different National Organisations (NOs), in-country donor representatives and other stakeholders (NGO partners) to identify funding opportunities.

The role maintains and develops relations with in-country donors and Plan International National Organisations.

The Requirements

• Extensive and proven experience in writing successful donor proposals.
• Extensive humanitarian fundraising and networking experience.
• Experience in coordinating successful proposals with meaningful participation and inputs from implementing partner organisations.
• Experience in establishing and managing consortium bids, with both national and international NGOs.
• Demonstrable knowledge of donor funding requirements and policies and their practical application.
• Knowledge of key humanitarian principles and programme areas including, child protection in emergencies, education in emergencies, and cash and voucher assistance.
• Knowledge of and experience in project cycle management.
