    Branch Manager

    BRANCH MANAGER: – BM/12/23

    The successful candidates will be responsible for steering the Branch into high level performance through proper supervision, people management and enforcing a customercentric culture at the Branch.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    •  To champion and support the Spiritual formations and rhythms in the Bank, in order to maintain a focus on the Bank’s Christ-centered culture.
    •  To promote spiritual growth among fellow staff, customers and other associated parties.
    •  Take the leadership role at the Branch and mentor the Branch staff towards the achievement of the Banks’ Mission, Vision and the Banks’ Strategic Objectives.
    •  Ensure the Branch attains the set targets in the following parameters; High standards of Customer Service, Customer Retention, Deposits, Healthy Loan Portfolio.
    •  Develop and maintain critical relationships at the Branch to enhance business Development.
    •  Enhance relationships with SME’s, High Net worth Individuals, Churches and Institutions to grow business.
    •  Maintain a balanced portfolio on Church, SME, and Retail and Corporate deposits.
    •  Implement strategies on penetration of business segments, markets and sectors.
    •  Ensure growth of non-funded income business including transactional, alternate and direct banking business.
    •  Ensure staff productivity is maintained through support, mentorship, and TAT and customer service.
    •  Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements.
    •  Working closely with risk and compliance units to ensure effective controls to mitigate against business risks associated with Business.

    Key Qualities, Qualifications & Competencies

    •  Must be a practicing Christian who lives and upholds Christian Values, with a passion to serve.
    •  A minimum grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE.
    •  Undergraduate university degree in Business related field.
    •  Professional qualifications in Credit Management (CCP) and/or Diploma in Banking is mandatory.
    •  Minimum of 5 years banking experience; both in Banking Operations and Credit Management, 2 of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial position in a Micro Finance or Commercial Bank.
    •  Experience in a Microfinance Institution will be an added advantage.
    •  Must be adept in ICT, and working knowledge of T24 will be an added advantage.
    •  Good people Management skills and proven ability to achieve results through others.
    •  Have excellent negotiation, sales and marketing skills.
    •  Strong customer-centric skills.
    •  Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
    •  Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook.
    •  Must have a clear focus on high portfolio quality and business profit.
    •  Able to get on with others and be a team-player with excellent interpersonal skills.
    •  Between 33 to 42 years of age.

    Relationship Officers - Business Development (Sales)

    RELATIONSHIP OFFICERS – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (SALES)- RO-BD/12/23

    Reporting to the Relationship Manager – Business Development, the position holder will be responsible for providing supervision and direction to the independent sales executives and support them in achieving their goals in line with their business deliverables.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  To promote spiritual growth among fellow staff, customers and other associated parties.
    •  Supervise and manage the Independent Sales Agents to improve productivity and achieve set targets in the assigned area.
    •  Develop prospective customer relations through appropriate sales methods to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer and satisfaction.
    •  Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
    •  Participate in the recruitment process of the Independent Sales Agents within the region assigned.
    •  Acquire new business through the Independent Sales Agents channel in order to grow the loan book.
    •  Conduct regular performance appraisals for direct reports.
    •  Identify opportunities for cross-selling interactions.
    •  Increase customer retention by engaging customers through the loan process and maintaining records of the same.
    •  Support Relationship Managers & Branch Managers with customer research for business growth and customer value chain analysis for problem resolution.
    •  Assess training needs on an ongoing basis and conduct team meetings and training, as necessary.
    •  Ensure that 100%security perfection for all logbooks used as security.

    Qualifications & Key Competencies

    •  Must be a practicing Christian who lives and upholds Christian Values, with a passion to serve.
    •  A minimum grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE.
    •  An undergraduate Bachelors degree or Diploma in Business related courses from a recognized institution.
    •  Knowledge in Sales and Marketing, credit lending, as well as relevant experience in the Banking sector will be an added advantage.
    •  A minimum of three (3) years in a Sales position in a financial Institution. Previous experience as Sales Team Leader will be an added advantage.
    •  Proficiency in computers is mandatory.
    •  Good interpersonal & communication skills with excellent customer service.
    •  A team player with the drive to improve performance.
    •  Persuasive with strong recognition skills.
    •  Self-driven and possess the ability to work with minimum supervision.
    •  Strong Christian values, commitment and passion for the transformation of the population.
    •  Aged between 32 and 40 years.
