    Knowledge Management Officer

    Roles and Responsibilities
    The core areas of responsibility include:

    • Maintain and update the organisation’s centralized knowledge repository with relevant legal precedents, templates, and best practices.
    • Monitor and track new statutes, proposed legislation, special gazette notice and recent case law relevant to the organisation’s practice areas and sectors.
    • Prepare and distribute timely alerts to lawyers and staff regarding significant legal developments.
    • Manage hard copy resources, including physical libraries, legal texts, and archives, ensuring they are organised, accessible, and up-to-date.
    • Manage soft copy resources, including digital databases, document management systems, and AI tools, ensuring they are organised, accessible, and up-to-date.
    • Collaborate with practice areas to understand their knowledge management needs and provide tailored support, including training and resource allocation.
    • Assist in the creation of standardised templates, checklists, and other knowledge management resources.
    • Monitor usage of the organisation’s knowledge management platforms and resources and maintain vendor relationships with the relevant service providers and industry specialists.
    • Assist in the implementation of AI-driven tools for document automation, legal research and knowledge retrieval.
    • Conduct training sessions for lawyers and staff on how to effectively use the organisation’s knowledge management systems and resources.

    Experience and Personal Qualities
    This role will require a legal knowledge management professional with the highest levels of commitment. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated professional looking to join an experienced team supporting a multi-disciplinary organisation with extended geographical reach.

    The following educational and work experience is preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Sciences, Law, or a related field.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a dynamic organisation (preferably within a law firm).
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.

    • Ability to learn quickly in a highly dynamic and fast-moving environment.

    Legal Directories Submissions Officer

    The Legal Directories Submissions Officer will support the firm’s business development team, including bids & proposals and communications teams. The suitable candidate will work under the Head of Business Development, Marketing & Communications.

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    • Support the preparation and coordination of legal directory submissions, such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, and IFLR1000, as well as various industry award entries, including supporting related research activities.
    • Track and maintain up-to-date databases of legal directory and awards rankings, as well as other relevant information required for submissions, reporting and strategic planning.
    • Support the implementation of the legal directories’ strategy, including providing support to ALN firms.
    • Maintain the submissions calendar for various legal directories and awards.
    • Develop content and communication related to firm rankings, awards and recognitions in collaboration with the marketing and communications team.
    • Liaise with external legal directories and awards bodies to ensure proper submission and follow-up.
    • Provide support to the bids and proposals team when required.

    Experience and Personal Qualities
    The following experience is preferred

    • Degree qualification (preferably in Business, Marketing or Communications).
    • At least 2-3 years of experience preferably in business development or marketing within a professional services environment.
    • A good understanding of the legal market will be an added advantage.
    • Proficient in the use of IT Systems, including Microsoft Office packages.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate clearly with a range of people from diverse backgrounds
