Reporting to the Manager, Legal Framework, Responsiveness and Analysis the selected candidate will be deployed within the Regulatory Framework unit.

The intern will be responsible for;

• Undertaking legal research to help in legal review and drafting;
• Liaising with relevant stakeholders in the development of legislative instruments;
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of stakeholder forums on regulatory framework
• Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.

The Temporary Assistant will be responsible for: -

• Drafting Legislative Instruments I.e., Bills, Regulations, Rules, and guidelines;
• Undertaking legal research on various legal and regulatory framework issues;
• Liaising with relevant stakeholders in the development of legislative instruments;
• Coordinating stakeholder workshops and webinars;
• Preparing departmental reports, briefs and/or opinions on the various legal research conducted;
• Reviewing of the existing and prospective legal and regulatory frameworks; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law
• Minimum of one-year relevant experience would be an added advantage.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Information, Communications and Technologies, the selected candidate will be responsible for;

• Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces
• Breaking down program specification into its simplest elements and translate this logic into a programming language;
• Testing sample datasets to check that output from the program works as  intended;
• Coordinating and conducting user-acceptance testing to enhance optimal use of programs;
• Developing software tools, processes, metrics and quality assurance procedures
• Conducting feasibility studies on new application development and estimates project timeline and costs;
• Coordinating software programming and technical documentation development
• Conducting research, design and implementation of new software programs
• Undertaking development activities for new projects and applications for thorough analysis, fault rectification, unit testing, integration testing and appropriate documentation;
• Undertaking maintenance and ‘bug fix’ development activities for existing applications;
• Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status
• Undertaking any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field;
• Professional qualification required
• ASP.Net, PHP programming, HTML and CSS,
• HTML5 App Development Fundamentals
• databases, Postgres, Oracle DB and MYSQL
• JavaScript/C#.Net
• Any of the below listed programming skills and languages will be an added advantage;
• Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Python/Django.
• Android/iOS/Swift
• Webservices API development
• Microsoft Developer
• Software patterns
• At least one-year experience as a Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer would be an added advantage.
