Temporary Assistant - Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer at Capital Markets Authority (CMA)

Reporting to the Senior Manager Information, Communications and Technologies, the selected candidate will be responsible for;Coordinating software programming and technical documentation development

• Conducting research, design and implementation of new software programs
• Undertaking development activities for new projects and applications for thorough analysis, fault rectification, unit testing, integration testing and  appropriate documentation;
• Undertaking maintenance and ‘bug fix’ development activities for existing applications;
• Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status
• Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces
• Breaking down program specification into its simplest elements and translate this logic into a programming language;
• Testing sample datasets to check that output from the program works as intended;
• Coordinating and conducting user-acceptance testing to enhance optimal use of programs;
• Developing software tools, processes, metrics and quality assurance procedures
• Conducting feasibility studies on new application development and estimate project timeline and costs;
• Undertaking any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Professional qualification required
• Microsoft Developer, MSQL, Microsoft power BI, Microsoft data warehouses
• Database management systems e.g., MSSQL, MYSQL, Oracle DB
• Python Programming
• Webservices API development
• Any of the listed programming skills and languages will be an added advantage;
• HTML5 App Development Fundamentals
• Programming Languages; JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JAVA, PHP, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Django, C#.Net, ASP.Net.
• ASP.Net, PHP programming, HTML and CSS,
• HTML5 App Development Fundamentals
• JavaScript/C#.Net
• Software patterns
• Experience; At least one-year experience as a Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer would be an added advantage.
