    Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assessing adequacy of controls employed to safeguard IS assets.
    • Review measures employed to ensure data security and integrity.
    • Evaluating effectiveness of controls put in place to ensure business continuity (BCP).
    • Review system efficiency, effectiveness, and availability.
    • Review system change management to ensure adherence to policy.
    • Review of adequacy of network security controls.
    • Review of ICT policy and information security policy (ISP).
    • Carrying out forensic audits and investigations.
    • Advising management on industrial developments relating to ICT risk.
    • Assessing the Bank’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations in relation to information systems.
    • Reviewing and following up on all issues related to information systems raised by the external auditor and the CBK auditors.
    • Evaluating the systems established to ensure compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations which could have a significant impact on the organization.
    • Reporting significant risk exposures and control issues, including fraud risks, governance issues, and other matters needed or requested by the Board Audit Committee.
    • Review & reporting on emerging IS risks (e.g. cyber security risk)
    • Conduct quarterly vulnerability penetration test on all ICT platforms deployed by the Bank.

    Qualifications Requirements

    • University Degree or its equivalent. IT related degree from a recognized university.
    • Be a certified information systems auditor. (CISA)
    • Be a certified public accountant CPA (K).
    • Be a member of Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA)
    • Minimum 5 years working experience in Audit. 3 years of which should be dedicated to information systems audit.
    • Adequate training in report writing and data analytics.
    • Experience in IT fraud investigation and prevention.
    • Must have no criminal record.
    • Experience in performance and people management.

    Corporate Relationship Manager

    Key responsibilities:

    Financial

    • Prepare and submit financing proposals in conformity with financing Policy guidelines and requirements in liaison with the Relationship Managers and to maintain a high standard of financing analysis.
    • Collect and analyze vital data on clients i.e. annual reports, management accounts, interim reports, industry reports and all press cuttings etc. to acquire in-depth knowledge which will facilitate comprehensive review of assigned accounts relationships and relationships assigned to Relationship Managers.
    • Obtain account statistics and profitability figures for facilities review/appraisal purposes and ensure that information provided is accurately completed and that relevant remarks are incorporated in the financing proposal.
    • Review all existing clients’ facilities on time.
    • Prepare excess approval requests/notification for all excesses.
    • Support the RM to achieve set income targets (Profit income and non-profit income)
    • Undertake RM’s responsibilities when RM is away.
    • Ensure all income is collected.
    • Cross-sell other Bank Products and services

    Customer Experience

    • Provide an interface between the bank, existing and prospective customers in order to maintain good customer relations, so as to meet customer needs within the strategic objective of the bank.
    • Oversee the relationship management of assigned customers through maintenance of an effective call program.
    • Make recommendation for existing and prospective customers under the various facility products and submit to the appropriate final authority within established turnaround time.
    • Run with a customer experience initiative to build customer loyalty for allocated portfolio.
    • Attend expeditiously to queries / routine correspondence generally emanating from Clients, Financing Administration, Risk Control, branches, and customers.
    • Accompany the RM on client visits and file call reports.
    • Obtain account statistics and profitability figures for facilities review/appraisal purposes and ensure that information provided is accurately completed and that relevant remarks are incorporated in the financing proposal.
    • Review of draft offer letters received from financing administration in line with approval terms and conditions.

    Internal business processes

    • Monitor accounts daily to ensure operations within the approved limits.
    • Take remedial action by pursuing customers on regularization of overdrawn positions.
    • Prepare excess requests/notification for all excesses and follow up for sanctions by approving authorities.
    • Prepare ALCO report every end-month.
    • Confirm of profit rates end of month.
    • Prepare assigned portfolio monthly reports on a timely basis as is required from time to time for sign off by RM.
    • Issue disbursement instructions to financing administration and Trade Services within approved facilities.
    • Give instructions to un-pay cheques when accounts are underfunded in consultation with RM.
    • Attend to audit queries, perform snap-checks monthly and ensure that any anomalies/exceptions are sorted out.
    • Ensure instructions to our lawyers are sent out by the legal department to proceed with perfection of security.
    • Continuously follow-up with legal department to ensure timely documentation and perfection of security.
    • Ensure compliance with security perfection e.g. payments of land rent and rates, insurance etc.

    People, Learning and Growth

    • Attend all training courses arranged by the Bank.
    • Discuss career path/growth with line manager at least quarterly.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    • Any Degree from a recognized university
      Credit Management, Accounting or Banking Qualification
      At least 5 years relevant experience in credit analysis
      Professional qualifications in ACCA, CPA, CFA etc. is an added advantage.
      Strong general banking expertise
      Prior experience within the Corporate Banking environment is an added advantage.

    Relationship Manager – Diaspora Banking

    Key responsibilities:

    Financial Performance

    • Achieve the set monthly and annual sales targets for all the Banking products for this segment.
    • Prospect, anticipate and close all sales leads within the shortest time possible in an efficient way.
    • Develop a clear aggressive sales pipeline for both existing and potential customers.
    • Prospecting and recruiting new customers for the various Banking products, understanding their needs and requirements.

    Customer Experience

    • Identifying customer needs not met by existing products and the implementation of new products and services.
    • Utilize the customer relationship management system aimed at customer acquisition, retention and maximizing on every relationship.
    • Perform customer onboarding activities and touch activities as per CRM workflows.
    • Manage all escalations related to diaspora support.
    • Ensure customers are well supported on e-channels uptake to promote utilization.
    • Ensure first contact resolution for all queries directed to you.

    Internal business processes

    • Attend daily refers and excesses requests.
    • Ensure compliance with operations risk requirements e.g. KYC, AML, Health & safety standards, security of Premises.
    • Ensure good health of assigned portfolio by actively managing encroachments, Accountability reports and write offs.
    • Close gaps/lapses identified; take corrective and preventative actions identified by audit, risk, compliance reviews; investigations or other assessment mechanisms within the agreed time frame.
    • Prepare and submit reports to the relevant stakeholders within agreed format and timelines (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly)
    • Use of digital workflows and processes to achieve efficient and impactful engagement and accurate delivery of service.
    • Use data, information, insights to drive decision- making.
    • Proactive management of NPL for assigned portfolio.
    • Achieving a ‘Good’ audit rating for the Diaspora Banking Proposition ensuring prompt thorough closure of all audit exceptions sited.
    • 100% adherence to policies, procedures, and statutory guidelines. Minimize exposure to bank wide risks; enforce zero tolerance to non-compliance with KYC and AML regulations.
    • Utilize the MIS system for continuous tracking of own performance, monitoring of customer satisfaction and provision of management / statutory reports as applicable.
    • Present reports that facilitate informed and sound decision-making. Trends, insights, and concerns with recommendations clearly elaborated.
    • Achieve schedule adherence and availability targets as per Contact Centre productivity measures.

    • Proactively manage own learning and development.
    • Deliver performance objectives set. Institute immediate corrective action where performance is below par.
    • Adhere to annual leave plan agreed with line manager.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized accredited university.
    • Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance (COP) will be an added advantage.
    • Being a CISI fellow is an added advantage.
    • 5-6 years’ working experience in a Customer Management role.
    • In-depth knowledge of the local and Diaspora banking industry, banking products, banking services and banking regulations. Sound working knowledge and understanding of general commercial regulations and practices.
    • Appreciation of Diaspora banking as a proposition.
    • Interaction/ Understanding of CRM tools.

    Competencies & Attributes:

    • Knowledge of Banking and Business Operations: Well-round knowledge of ALL the Bank’s operations and processes and excellent knowledge of Bank policies and procedures. Certification in required areas of banking and/or banking support services. Reference point and mentor for customers, colleagues, partners, for areas of expertise.
    • Compliance and Regulatory Framework: Good understanding of the regulatory issues relating to diaspora banking, reporting and operational requirements as provided by CBK, KRA, KIB, etc.
    • Conceptual and Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly grasp and understand systems and keen to detail.
    • Commercial Banking Industry Knowledge: Shares insights on industry trends; identifies opportunities that can be exploited, and highlights concerns to be avoided / mitigated against. Reference point and mentor for customers, colleagues, partners, government, etc.
