    Shell Supervisor

    Supervise the following Activities:

    • Formwork installation
    • Reinforcement fixing
    • Electrical conduit installation
    • Waste and reticulation piping installation
    • Concrete casting
    • Scaffolding installation

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for your team’s safety and others affected by your work’s scope on a day to day basis.
    • Provide full time HANDS ON site supervision,
    • Effectively allocate labour, equipment, materials and artisans to maximize productivity, safety and to minimize deficiencies,
    • Effectively understand project schedule to ensure deadlines are met on time.
    • Communicate scope of work requirements to artisans, review production, quality and ensure implementation.
    • Calculate, monitor and track all materials required for each project ensuring no overruns.
    • Correspond with the project manager team regarding all adjustments as required, ensuring any materials are ordered in advance in order to meet deadlines.
    • Conduct daily tool box talks for his team.
    • Resolve day to day field personnel issues.
    • Other Assignments as required.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a construction supervisor.
    • Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, construction management
    • Continuous improvement attitude.
    • To act with integrity and honesty at all times.
    • Ability to read and understand drawings/specifications.
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules while maintaining safety and profitability.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Work within the project framework and adhere to all Company guidelines and policies.

    Project Scheduler/Cost Controller

    Role

    With the collaboration of project managers, you will be creating project schedules, and monitoring the execution of project timelines. You will also prepare project progress and performance evaluation reports. During each project, you will monitor the arrival of shipments, track deliveries, and ensure the team is moving efficiently. You will offer suggestions and solutions for any issues that may arise to get projects back on track. To ensure success, project schedulers should possess solid industry knowledge and demonstrable experience in project scheduling, with expertise that leads to the successful realisation of project goals.

    Project Scheduler Responsibilities:

    • Create, monitor, and analyse project schedules in accordance with the standard of best project practice,
    • Allocate resources based on project timelines,
    • Set short- and long-term project goals for project teams,
    • Collect, Track, analyse, and report information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate reports,
    • Coordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of reports,
    • Monitor projects’ progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date,
    • Maintain project risk register to ensure that risks are effectively managed to minimise their impact on the schedule, scope, and budget of projects,
    • Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans,

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering or a related field.
    • A minimum of five years experience as a project scheduler in a related industry.
    • Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software, such as Primavera and MS Project.
    • Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
    • In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the industry.
    • Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.
    • Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes.
    • Excellent organisational, time-management, and communication skills.
