    Assistant Director, Human Resource Management and Development

    Job specifications
    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Principal Human Resource Management and Development Officer or in a comparable position;
    •  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

    OR

    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields; Public Administration, Sociology, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution plus s Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution;
    • Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Business Administration (Human Resource) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) Course from a recognized institution;
    • Membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and in good standing;
    • Current and valid practicing certificate from the Institute of Human Resource Management and be in good standing;
    • Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer applications and;
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Successful candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and shall be required to present the following documents before the offer letter.

    • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (TCC);
    • Certificate of clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
    • Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
    • Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
    • Clearance certificate from approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
