    Business Development Manager - Parts & Service / Anglophone Countries West Africa

    The purpose of the role

    With exciting opportunities to grow internally within PSD divisional level, this role, based in Ghana and responsible for West Africa Anglophone countries, is to drive sustainable & profitable mid / long-term growth in the defined parts & service product through Marketing and Service activities in Anglophone countries in West Africa. To be the parts & service Product champion in the region by supporting the sales teams.

    Develop and maintain a customers focused Technical and Service team, continuously drive customer share and customer satisfaction to the highest level. Establish a wide and solid customer base, by continuously finding new ways to grow service penetration, Workshop Rebuilds (Machine & Components), Service agreement & part sales.

    Drive service excellence and Epiroc machines performance towards the customers, by offering & implementing value added services for all Epiroc machines and customers in the Anglophone -speaking countries in West Africa.

    The role

    The key responsibility of this role consists of but are not limited to the below:

    • Marketing and Product Business Development :
    • Responsible for promotion and marketing of all Parts & Service products portfolio.
    • Define a clear marketing communication plan and develop marketing materials for launch of each product in coordination with the communications responsible.
    • With market input, develop customer solutions that will add value for customers and create value for Epiroc.
    • Build strategies to increase customer share and profitability to meet/exceed present and future customer expectations.
    • Interact and collaborates closely with the sales team and other department .
    • Identify the needs, develop & introduce solutions for external end users & business partners and the Epiroc Sales Team
    • Manage the Parts Forecasting, Inventory control in line with forecast and controlling the obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
    • Work closely with the inventory (logistics & products Sales) team to ensure the correct spare parts for Workshop and in Country
    • Collaborate in the annual budget and plans, analyze the variations, and initiate corrective actions.
    • Supporting Capital team on machines tenders to be done on required time.
    • Have a control over Profit and Loss including all costs associated with parts & service products.
    • Support Supply chain for all customer order in case of long lead-time with division
    • Coordinate with Regional/Local Distribution Centers on Monthly Parts Forecast Planning
    • Developing the workshop business (machines and component for rebuilt ..)
    • Increase the number of the machines covered by service contract.
    • Close follow-up and support of business partners to attend the target
    • Developing and managing products sales tracking and reporting tools
    • Developing and then managing a fleet management reporting system
    • Monitoring of the price discount in coordination and with approval of the RBLM
    • Service Operations :
    • Ensure safe working condition in the Workshop, field service and establish a safety-first attitude with all team members.
    • Drive job satisfaction of the customers and your team members.
    • Create synergy between service team and Products Sales teams.
    • Ensure timely implementation of Epiroc Safety Campaigns and technical service news
    • Support customers with technical support (field service) and labor on site contracts
    • Manage & plan work for your team of technicians and workshop
    • Ensure with the support of the Business Controller (team) that work in progress and Service Variance are under control.
    • Focus on competence development and certification of the technical team and be sure the Targets are met
    • Participate and lead different parts & service projects
    • Close monitoring of the service cost

    Required Comtetencies

    You are a dynamic and result-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills. Your attitude is to work as one team and with integrity, you boost engagement among all stakeholders, internally and externally.

    • University degree in sales, marketing or engineering or an equivalent academic background
    • Must have a minimum of 10 years industry experience with 5+ years in a Sales, Marketing or Sales engineering leading position, working with international customers
    • Experience in drilling rigs/ mining equipment is an advantage
    • Good organizational, planning and follow up skills
    • Excellent English speaking and writing
    • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Ability to travel to provide coverage Anglophone Countries in West Africa
    • Experience in a similar role within the mining sector
