    Channels Specialist - 2 Posts

    Job Reference No. NBK/ICT/03/2025

    Position Scope:

    • The role holder will provide support in the development, design, document, maintenance and solutioning for digitalchannels systems for the Bank.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide day-to-day operational and technical support for the digital channels and the related sub-systems and ensuresystem uptime as per the banks service level agreements.
    • Ensure that service / support calls are effectively responded to and resolved within the framework of the Servicelevel agreements and develop knowledge and awareness of the relevant applications.
    • Perform and implement system maintenance, making program modification as necessary to meet business requirements; review and modify programs to correct errors and improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
    • Ensure cyclical assignments such as Disaster Recovery testing, business continuity plans, penetration testing andsoftware and hardware audits are completed in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for designing, developing and providing appropriate reports and management information as requiredby business.
    • Participate and perform system integrations, testing, upgrades and enhancements, documentation and stabilization.
    • Continuously analyse user requirements and provide solutions.
    • Maintain up to date system and user documentation and manuals.
    • Ensured compliance of SLAs with system vendors.
    • Recommended and implement upgrades for performance, security and business benefit.
    • Constituted cross-functional project teams with clearly defined roles.
    • Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in IT and/or related field from a recognized university.
    • ITIL Certifications
    • Advanced knowledge in Linux
    • Advanced knowledge in Oracle/MS SQL
    • Three(3) years’ experience in handling Integrations for Mobile and Internet Banking 
    • Competency in Card Management Systems and VISA Operations
    • Competency in Linux administration
    • Competency on SQL Scripting, Oracle Skills will be an added advantage.
    • Ability to work with Weblogic and Messaging Queues and ISO Messagin.
    • Knowledge on API, SOAP Messages
    • Has worked with SMS Gateways
    • Knowledge in Java, Tomcat, Jboss
    • Has dealt with HSMs
    • Professionalism –
    • Building consensus and influencing-ability to influencevarious players across all NBK departments.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills with abilityto breakdown complex items to actionable elements
    • Network management

    • IT Security and Security appliances
    • Oracle databases

    • Service Desk Analysis
    • Server Management
