We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Nairobi. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure, protecting sensitive data, and mitigating cyber threats. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze security systems to detect vulnerabilities and threats.
Implement robust security measures to protect networks, systems, and data.
Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration testing.
Respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures aligned with industry standards.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, threats, and best practices in cybersecurity.
Train staff on cybersecurity awareness and protocols.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 2019 and other regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are mandatory.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity roles (e.g., network security, incident response).
Expertise in threat analysis, incident response, and network security management.
Knowledge of emerging technologies like blockchain and IoT security is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-tech stakeholders.
