The Head of Depots will oversee all depots across the country, ensuring efficient stock management, accountability, and adherence to company standards and policies. The role entails end-to-end responsibility for depot operations, including stock controls, dispatch processes, labour management, reporting, and compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles are followed across all depots.
Oversee timely and accurate dispatch of orders, stock management, and control.
Conduct monthly and random stock takes, reconciling variances promptly.
Manage storage of finished goods (FG) and maintain integrity of cold chain assets.
Enforce Health and Safety procedures and ensure compliance across all depots.
Supervise correct invoicing, returns control, and accurate posting of stock movements in line with company policies.
Drive reduction of stock losses and operational inefficiencies.
Lead and manage depot teams to ensure cost-effective and efficient performance.
Generate MIS reports and ensure accurate SAP data input for inventory and financial tracking.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Distribution & Warehousing.
Professional certifications such as CIPS, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma are an added advantage.
Additional qualifications in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
12 to 15 years of experience in depot or warehouse management within the FMCG sector, preferably in Dairy operations.
