The Investment Accountant will play a critical role in accounting and reporting. This role requires expertise in capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, and entity-level financial statement preparation, ensuring strict adherence to fund agreements and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare cash calls and distributions through the investment accounting module.
Prepare cash call and distribution notices.
Reconcile capital balances between the investment accounting module and the GL.
Record journal entries and prepare financial statements for investment entities.
Process monthly P&L roll ups in the investment accounting module.
Maintain entity-level waterfall models for promote calculations.
Skills (Hard & Soft)
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
Experience with an industry-standard Investment Accounting System (e.g., Investran, Geneva, etc.) MUST. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience in real estate investment accounting.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an accountant or in the investment accounting field.
