Laboratory Technologist - Siaya at Kenya Medical Research - KEMRI

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of laboratory reagents
• Processing of biological samples, laboratory supply inventory management, storage and shipment of biological samples
• Perform microscopic parasitological diagnosis of malaria
• Perform full blood count using automated analyser
• Perform full biochemistry analysis using automated analyser and point of care devices
• Perform other laboratory assays as per protocol and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintaining of quality control procedures in all assays performed
• Development of laboratory SOPs

Vacancy Requirements:

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution    Mandatory
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a busy biomedical laboratory    Mandatory
• Registered by Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)    Mandatory
• Strategic thinking    Mandatory
