Lecturer History - Prof/Asso.Prof/Snr Lecturer/Lecturer - 1 Position
Must have: An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification OR, in special fields, a Master’s Degree Qualification in the relevant field, from an accredited and recognized university.
Job Responsibilities
Have supervised since appointment as Lecturer, at least three (3) post-graduate students to completion.
Have attended and contributed at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
Have evidence of continued research and/or effective teaching
Have evidence of contribution to university/research institution through activities such as participation in departmental management, students’ academic/research advising, school or university/institutional meetings, committee membership and related matters. Be registered with the relevant profes
Demonstrate community involvement (e.g. Member of BOG, SMC etc.)
Must: 1) Have a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as Lecturer at University level or six (6) years as Research Fellow at Research institution /Industry experience.
Publications Must have published any of the following since the last promotion to Lecturer/Research Fellow: A minimum of; • Three (3) articles in refereed journals for Senior Lecturer and five (5) articles for Senior Research Fellow OR • One (1) refereed book in candidate’s professional area publish
Skills
Leadership and coordination at institutional, departmental, school and community level.
Teaching and/or research and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
