Permanent and Pensionable:

Salary Scale: Ksh. 25,420x 1,040- 26,460 х1,070 – 27,530 x 1,090 – 28,620 x 1,110 – 29,730 x 1,120 – 30,850 x 1,150 – 32,000 x 1,170 - 33,170 p.m.

House Allowance : Kshs. 6,750 p.m.
Commuter Allowance : Kshs. 4,000 p.m.
Leave Allowance : Kshs. 4,000 (Once yearly)
Leave Entitlement : 30 working days per year.

Duties and responsibilities will involve: -

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail: - collecting livestock data and information; accompanying extension teams during firm visits and farmer training; participating in field days and agricultural shows to disseminate livestock production technologies; and carrying out practical demonstrations on livestock production technologies and techniques.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have; -

• Certificate in any of the following disciplines: - Animal Health and Production, Dairy Technology, Animal Science, Apiculture or Range Management from a recognized institution; and
• Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution
