    Manager, Card Settlement And Transaction Disputes

    About The Job
    Job Responsibilities:

    • Managing a team of specialists that handle Card Settlement, Chargeback and Dispute Management.
    • Manage multiple Card Network related settlements and transaction details daily.
    • Ensure all Operations activities are carried out in compliance with authorized processes and procedures and all processes to be documented as per rules from the issuing/acquiring network operator.
    • Ensure the risk by identifying any suspicious accounting carried out in Card Accounts.
    • Must be capable of working well independently and in teams.
    • Full scope for the deliverables of KPIs, back-end automation and straight through process implementation.
    • Drive team to provide bank-wide support for products within space.
    • Deploy risk mitigation measures to considerably reduce exposures.
    • Develop close relationships with partners and stakeholders and contacts in Card Schemes, Fintechs, Third Party Processors, Aggregators etc.
    • Design GL architecture and provide advice for the deployment of card products.
    • Serving as Operations Lead on various Card Business products and projects through to deployment.
    • Approvals and authorizations as required.
    • Review of Daily and Monthly Reconciliation Reports.
    • Training of Subordinates/team members.
    • Coordination of Product Go-Live Procedure (UAT, Operational Requirement, Risk Evaluation etc.)
    • Assisting team in all areas of Settlement Processing, investigation, reporting etc.
    • Any other assigned duties.

    Candidate Profile:

    • At least 6 years experience in processing, supervising or managing card settlement and disputes. 
    • Knowledge of Visa and MasterCard Operating Regulations - Dispute Rules 
    • Knowledge of the various payment and card schemes operated by GhIPSS and the relevant rules and guidelines
    • Experience in Reconciliations
    • Experience in E-Banking project delivery
    • Experience in Banking Operations
    • Understanding of Mobile Commerce and mPayments
    • Finance and Accounting appreciation
    • Knowledge of best practice in banking policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies and alternative ways of working (eg. Lean, Agile,Six Sigma etc).
    • Knowledge of MS Office suite with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Leadership and communication skills
