Providing marine subject matter expert advice to support the Marine Team Leads in resolving challenges and conflicts to achieve a win-win outcome benefiting the holistic Organization.
Driving and embedding a strong EHS culture across the entire Marine Team, and in particular amongst Marine Team Leads (direct reports).
Encouraging the timely collation and analysis of Marine Team data to support continuous improvement within their span of control & delivery.
Developing and nurturing a sense of “One Team, One Goal” across their immediate direct reports, and the Marine Organization in general.
Developing and encouraging a program of cross team skill sharing to improve the concept of internal team support, flexibility, and coherence.
Developing and expanding Marine Team members’ individual skills and competencies to support Marine Team flexibility across disciplines.
Developing a competency matrix for individual Marine Lead roles, with an associated, derivative assessment program to measure skill levels.
Develop systems and processes that contribute towards and encourage a culture of “continuous improvement” amongst all of their direct reports.
Qualifications
Minimum of College education
Master Mariner Class 1
Additional vocational qualifications beneficial, but not essential
Skills
Minimum five (5) years’ seagoing experience as an OOW onboard modern, dynamically positioned, offshore support vessels.
At least three (3) of those years in the rank of Master
