Marketing Director (Horticulture) – Nairobi at Summit Recruitment and Search

This role oversees the marketing team, manages budgets, research, branding, product positioning, digital marketing, customer relationships, and ensures all marketing efforts align with the company’s overall business growth objectives. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands on execution, creativity and analytical acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company’s overall business goals and export objectives.
• Strengthen the company’s brand identity across international markets.
• Identify and prioritize new markets and customer segments for expansion
• Oversee digital marketing initiatives including website management, social media, and online advertising.
• Maintain strong partnerships with existing key accounts and strategic customers.
• Work closely with the production, post-harvest, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure market requirements are met.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing marketing team.

Key Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• 7–10+ years of marketing experience, preferably within the FMCG sector; experience in the agriculture sector is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated success in international marketing and brand management.
• Strong understanding of global supply chains, export logistics, and perishable goods markets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM platforms.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
