Math Content Manager at Rising Academy Network

About The Role

• We are seeking to hire a best- in-class Math Content Manager who will co lead and design the overall development, implementation and management of math content for Rising. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Math Specialist to deliver engaging content for Rori. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable knowledge and understanding of mathematics and must enjoy creating digital learning experiences for students

The Math Content Manager will:

• Co-design and lead the development of content related to building confidence in math and developing metacognitive strategies.
• Co-design and support the development of math content.
• Build, train and co-manage a team of free-lance content developers.
• Plan and assign specific tasks to the project team of content writers.
• Ensure the quality of Maths content developed for Rori is best-in-class for all applicable grade levels, and is aligned with local government curriculum.
• Keep track of development in mathematics pedagogy, and ensure content is continuously updated.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Furthermath or Statistics, master’s degree a plus.
• 5+ years of professional experience in teaching or tutoring across primary and secondary school levels of education.
• Experience in creating user facing content, ideally in an EdTech environment.
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous, attention to detail.
• Ability to use google apps, ask management systems and other productivity technology with ease.
• Fully comfortable with Google workspace applications and easy to adapt to new systems easily.

About You:
Required

• Prior experience teaching mathematics
• Ability to set and meet own goals, and work on a distributed team

Preferred

• Background in mathematics pedagogy, curriculum design etc.
• Teaching experience in low-resource context
• Experience in creating user/student facing content, ideally in an edtech environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use productivity and remote working applications (Slack, G-Suite, Asana etc).
