    Operations Manager (Property Developer)

    Description

    • The Operations Manager is responsible for implementing the right processes and practices across the organization.
    • The operations manager would primarily be responsible for managing day to day business logistics within the company to ensure the company runs smoothly. This includes overseeing employees scheduling, monitoring projects,inspecting equipment, coordinate accounting needs of the firm and ensuring all deadlines are met.

    Responsibilities of the role include:

    • Developing policies and plans for management of the Company’s properties in accordance with sound estate management principles and under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer.
    • Developing corporate operational procedures and documentation.
    • Plans for provision of professional and technical support services to the project division in project planning and feasibility analysis, project designs, tender and construction.
    • Develops plans for acquisition and effective management of the company’s lands and properties.
    • Responsible for the general administration and supervision of staff of the company.
    • Lead in the recruitment of additional staff for site contracts
    • Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
    • Monitoring existing processes and analyzing their effectiveness
    • Manage budgets and forecast
    • Ensure staff follows the health and safety regulations put in place
    • Monitoring projects and teams
    • Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.

    Working Experience and Education Requirements:

    • In order to qualify for this role, you must have excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing. You should also have the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the real estate and construction sector sector.
    • Excellent communication and people management skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to multitask
    • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
    • A valid driver's license.
    • Great networking abilities.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Our ideal candidate must have:

    • Must have good knowledge of urban planning and Ghana’s housing industry, particularly Ghana’s land tenure system, legal aspects of land transfer, and basic knowledge of land
    • The ability to “hit the ground running” thanks to his/her network of contacts.
    • Good understanding of construction, surveying, negotiation and estimates.
    • Must be of sufficient maturity and seniority to be able to function as a member of a management team and advise Management.
