Requirements for appointment

• Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
• Possess a current valid practicing certificate;
• Membership of a relevant professional body;

Duties and responsibilities:-

• Conduct detailed patient assessments including history taking, observation, and physical evaluation.
• Identify movement dysfunctions and impairments due to injury, illness, disability, or aging.
• Develop individual rehabilitation plans in consultation with medical personnel.
• Administering evidence-based physiotherapy treatments such as: Manual therapy, Therapeutic exercises, Electrotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Respiratory therapy techniques.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home-based rehabilitation techniques.
• Advise patients on lifestyle adjustments and preventive physiotherapy.
• Regularly monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes.
• Operate, maintain, and ensure the safety of physiotherapy equipment.
• Report and document faults and requisitioning for maintenance or replacement.
• Participate in community health promotion, education, and rehabilitation programs.
• Support disability prevention and physical activity campaigns organized by the County.
• Maintain accurate patient records and prepare clinical reports.
• Assist in preparing departmental reports and contributing to performance targets.
