    Post Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in Health Systems

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Developing and co-developing grant proposals and research projects focused on health system resilience.
    • Conducting literature reviews, developing study protocols and data management plans, and supporting ethical approval applications.
    • Providing technical input to partners in low- and middle-income countries for data collection, management, analysis, and quality assurance.
    • Publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals and leading dissemination as part of the IRHS communication strategy.
    • Supporting the design and delivery of research uptake and capacity-strengthening activities.
    • Contributing to the LSTM teaching portfolio in health systems.
    • Identifying new strategic research and funding opportunities alongside the IRHS senior core team.
    • Adhering to ethical, safeguarding, and health and safety standards in all research activities.

    Qualifications and skills required:

    • PhD in a health or health-related social science discipline with a research skills component.
    • Strong understanding of health issues, services and systems in low- and middle-income countries.
    • Demonstrable experience in designing, implementing and analysing health systems research, including ethical approvals and fieldwork.
    • Experience working within multi-partner research consortia or collaborations.
    • Proven ability to conduct robust literature reviews and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
    • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
    • Commitment to promoting equality, inclusion and safeguarding in research.

    This is a 2-year fixed-term, strategic faculty position spanning the Department of Clinical Sciences and the Department of International Public Health.
