    QA Manager

    To drive the successful transformation of the business in becoming a world-class sourcing organization by providing technical garment/apparel expertise and recommendations to vendors/factories and internal sourcing teams. To develop and drive the implementation of new apparel technical programs in Ghana.

     

    Key Accountabilities:

    • To support the execution of business strategies relating to the Company’s transformation initiatives
    • To effectively partner with the US, Greater Africa and Asia Sourcing teams in realizing sourcing strategies
    • To effectively build and maintain strong business relationships with vendors/factories
    • To be responsible for all regional quality assurance reports and issues
    • To study apparel specifications and quality test reports to identify safety and malfunction issues
    • To identify and address non-conforming suppliers and execute necessary training or remediation strategies
    • Conducts factory inspection visits to review the standards of the operation, and take necessary action to ensure product safety, quality and compliance of our products at the production factory
    • Identifies training opportunities for vendors, factories and colleagues and conducts relevant workshops and seminars on product inspection
    • To support the Regional QA Lead, Greater Africa with regional programs/projects related to quality assurance

    Education and Experience:

    • 5 years of relevant experience in apparel/footwear quality assurance leadership role
    • 2 years of QA managerial experience in Greater Africa will be an advantage
    • Solid understanding of apparel and design/technical properties (children apparel preferred)
    • Experience with materials research and apparel sourcing landscape in Africa
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
    • Great command of both verbal and written English skills
    • Possess a strong attention to detail and time management
    • High level of familiarity of Product Safety/Technology standards for children’s apparel and/or products
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook)
    • Great command of both verbal and written English skills
